| 지난달 1월
20일 두산타워에서 열렸던 총동창회가 약 130분의 동문들의 참석하에 무사히
성공리에 끝났습니다. 많은 분들이 참석하여 주신 자리인 만큼 모두들 매우 뜻 깊고 즐거운
시간을 보냈습니다. 조영천(GSM’86) 동문의 사회로 진행된 1부 순서에서는 김의숙(SON’74)
동문을 회장으로 선출하고 새로운 각오와 결의를 다졌습니다. 김의숙 신임 동창회장은
이 자리에서 앞으로 동문회를 더욱 활성화하기 위하여 전 동문들에게 적극적인 협조와 성원을
당부하셨습니다. 이 자리에 참석하여주신 전 총동창회장 이준상(GSM’86) 동문께서는
동창회의 발전은 모교발전과 동문들간의 친목도모를 위해 매우 중요하기 때문에 다각적인 동창회
활성 방안을 모색해야 하며 그래서 동문들의 자발적인 협조가 매우 중요하다고 강조하셨습니다.
또한 현 상경계열 동창회 회장이신 한영재(GSM’79) 동문께서는 비록 총
동창회 모임은 일년에 한번 정도밖에 열리지 않지만 각 단과별로 지속적인 소모임을 통하여
총동창회의 기축을 더욱 튼튼하게 |

쌓는다면 현 재학생을 비롯해 모두가 모교에 더 큰 자긍심을 가지게 되고 결과적으로는
모두가 함께 발전하는 모임이 되리라고 말씀하셨습니다.1부 마지막 순서로는 현

After enlisting the
support of the alumni and consensus that there was
a need to hold an alumni get-together, the event
for the alumni gathering was successfully held last
January 20, 2003 at the Doosan Tower and attended
by about 130 alumni. The alumni enjoyed themselves
because it has been a quite long time since the
last gathering was held, with this much number of
attendees. Young-Choen Cho(GSM’86) presided over
the first session of the gathering event, and we
renewed our commitment to the alumni association.
After being chosen as a chair of the Alumni Association,
Eui-Sook Kim (SON’79) urged the alumni to continue
supporting the Alumni Association. Joon-Sang Lee,
the former chair of the Alumni Association believes
that the development of the alumni is very important;
thus necessitating spontaneous periodical get-togethers
and discussions on how to make the alumni association
better. Young-Jae Han (GSM’79),
a current chair of Business Department Alumni Association,
also said that although the alumni get-together
is held only once a year, if the small meetings
by each departments continue to hold, the basis
of the alumni association will be much stronger,
enhance school pride among the alumni, faculty,
and students; hence eventually translating into
a great success for all of us. International Management

Program Associate
Professor Jay Kim also attended at this event,
delivering a message on behalf of Graduate
School of Management Dean Louis Lataif as
the 1st session of the event was finished.

근사한
Jazz Band의 연주와 함께 초청 MC의 진행으로 시작된 2부 순서에서는
경품에 찬조 하여주신 많은 동문들의 도움으로 다양한
경품 추첨 게임을 하면서 동문들간에 서먹함을 깨고 즐거운 시간을 보내며 화합할
수 있는 좋은 시간 이었습니다. 이 지면을 빌어서 경품에 찬조하여 주신 동문들과 조금
쑥스럽지만 용기를 내어 게임에 참여하셔서 분위기를 즐겁게 만들어주신 동문들께 감사 말씀
드립니다.
With the wonderful performance of the Jazz band,
the second session of the alumni event began, led
by professional MC. The alumni played a lottery
game. Gifts donated by several alumni were at stake.
This effectively broke the ice, enabling the alumni
to enjoy themselves and creates closer ties. Thanks
to the alumni who helped to raise donations and
those who actually do the actions on the stage to
make us having so much fun.
